A TYPICAL DAY
.....in the Life of a Hip Hound
To minimise disruption to the Dogs we politely ask that Customers where possible drop off and collect during the following times:- Drop off – 7.30 am – 10.00 am and Collection time – 4.00 pm – 6.30 pm.
Usual Check in Times
- 7:30 am – 8:30 am
Dogs are checked in. They are then shown to their individual themed chilling areas.
- 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Dogs participate in: - Mentally challenging games and activities to stimulate thinking and problem solving, also designed to encourage dogs to use their strongest assets, the nose. Rotated socialised groups with a mixture of Outdoor walking, Ball-fetching, Scent work, Chasing games, Agility, Bacon scented bubble catching, Paw painting and Obedience.
Individual Attention Time
- 11:30 am – 12:00 pm
Special needs are attended to such as medication, lunch or snacks.
- 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
For those Dogs who have enjoyed their own lunch, or a tasty Halstead Foods lunch, it’s time to chill with classical or spa music played whilst they snuggle in their luxury themed individual areas. This is an important quiet time, as the dogs have had a very active morning and need time to unwind and relax. Lounging after all is all in the Barka Lounge name!
- For those dogs that have not eaten they too depending upon their personal preference and energy levels are free to relax and have some chill out time.
- 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm
A less fast-paced version of the morning activities involving more one-on-one attention and TLC. Socializing, Pampering, Teeth cleaning and Grooming.
- 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm
It’s Tea Time for those that have chosen to have a further scrumptious meal with Barka Lounge. Any further special needs that any of our guests may require, medications etc..
Pick Up Time
- Anytime up to 6:30 pm
Each Happy Hip Hound has a period of unwinding time before his or her owner arrives, cuddles and collation of personal belongings.
We are confident your beloved four legged best friend will have enjoyed the fabulous Barka Lounge experience of - Playing, socialising, feeding, training, grooming and also teeth cleaning if desired! All they will need when they come home is a comfy bed and a kiss good night – sweet dreams!
Don’t worry if your Dog isn’t allowed on furniture at home, Dogs generally respect your boundaries at home and as we always say ‘What happens at Daycare….stays at Daycare’ – it’s a Hip Hound rule.
