Joining us at Barka

The most important thing to us is that we get to know every single dog personally; their nature, needs and personality, giving us the confidence that the entire Barka Lounge Hip Hounds all get on.


There are 4 stages to joining us:

  1. Call us to arrange a 1 hour - FREE taster session. This is to ensure your dog will be happy here at Barka Lounge.

  2. You will be required to provide proof of vaccinations, please remember to bring your vaccination card with you. Titre tests every 3 years are accepted as evidence of immunity. Please allow 14 days after any Kennel Cough vaccination before arranging your visit. The Kennel Cough vaccination is not required to attend.

  3. To ensure your Dog gets the best welcome from their new friends we will advise the most suitable time for introducing your Dog to the group. We always tailor their first day to gain their trust and to build their confidence in Daycare.

  4. Following the taster session,if we think your dog will enjoy coming to daycare, you may book them in to join us as and when works best for you! 

A Typical Day at Barka

​At Barka Lounge Doggy Daycare, every day is carefully structured to provide the perfect balance of exercise, socialisation, enrichment and relaxation, ensuring your dog enjoys a safe, happy and stimulating environment.

🌞Morning (7:30am – 9:30am)​

Drop-off​:

Dogs arrive between 7:30am and 9:30am, giving everyone time to settle in before the day's activities begin.

Supervised Play & Enrichment​:

Once everyone has arrived, the fun starts! Dogs enjoy supervised free play with carefully matched playgroups, enrichment activities and plenty of interaction with our experienced team to keep both minds and bodies active.

 

🍽️ Lunchtime (12:00pm – 1:00pm)​

Half Day Collection​:

Dogs booked for a half-day session can be collected between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.​

Lunch Time​:

At 1:00pm, dogs that require lunch are separated from the main play areas for a calm, stress-free feeding experience.

Please provide your dog's lunch in a clearly labelled container with their name and any feeding instructions. If preferred, we can offer a portion of our delicious Halstead Biscuits for a small additional charge.

 

🐾 Afternoon (2:30pm – 3:30pm)

6-Hour Session Collection:

Dogs attending our 6-hour daycare sessions can be collected between 2:30pm and 3:30pm.

Rest & Relaxation:

After a busy morning, the dogs enjoy some well-earned downtime with quiet areas, comfy beds, cuddles and supervised rest before the afternoon continues.

🍖 Tea Time (4:30pm)​

Dogs that require an evening meal are fed from 4:30pm in a calm environment.

Please provide your dog's food in a labelled container along with any feeding instructions, so we can maintain their normal routine while they're with us.

​

🏡 Full Day Collection​

Dogs booked for a full day of daycare can be collected any time before 6:30pm.

After a day filled with play, exercise, enrichment and plenty of cuddles, they'll head home happy, tired and ready to relax with you.
